Start as you mean to go on

The first week of January has gone by so fast. I never make New Years resolutions and this year is no different, I’ve only promised myself to experiment more with my baking and cooking, and attempt to be healthier.
Here’s what I’ve been up to…

New Years morning breakfast- Buttermilk pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup (not the best start to being healthy, oops)

Beautiful start to the year, standing in Kitsilano looking back towards my apartment (I will never get bored of looking at these mountains)

Writing Christmas thank you letters with my new writing set

Wandering around Yaletown I found these Victorian Heritage houses on Hamilton Street, they were hidden between a concrete jungle of high rise buildings

Tree lights on Burrard Street

Like mother, like daughter- my first attempt at making my own granola (this recipe contains: oats, pecans, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, flax seeds, raisins, cinnamon, canola oil and honey)

I was quite pleased with the result, could have baked it for a little less time and added more honey so it created more clusters, but it tasted pretty good for my first try
