Public art around Vancouver

In 1990 the City Council approved the Public Art Programme to improve Vancouver’s public life through artist’s contributions. Walking around Vancouver you will notice public art scattered everywhere. Here are just a few I’ve found so far…

The Inukshuk statue, the Engagement sculpture, and the Arc sculpture, all on English Bay

Gate to the North East Passage sculpture, The Crab outside H R MacMillan Space Centre, and Freezing Water, all in Kitsilano

The Amazing Laughter sculptures in English Bay

The Words Don’t Fit the Picture outside the Vancouver Public Library, the Jasper sculpture on Robson Street, and The Poodle on Main Street.
