Weekend Break

It’s the first weekend my boyfriend and I have had off work together in a long time. Although its tempting to be lazy and spend the day on the sofa catching up on all our recorded tv shows, we didn’t want to waste the dry, sunny weather.
On Saturday we headed to Stanley Park for a lunchtime stroll around the pond. We discovered these beautiful houses on the way there, they happened to be on the same street we live on, but we had never been that far down our street before.

Park life. There was lot’s of wildlife out and about today. Whilst trying to feed the ducks we were almost chased by a Raccoon after our bread and then we met an over friendly Squirrel who decided it wanted to follow us.

Antony was pooped after the walk and a big lunch, so while he napped I whipped up a peanut butter and chocolate pie. Nothing healthy at all about this, it’s all butter, chocolate, sugar and eggs, not forgetting the peanut butter on the base!

I don’t even want to think about how many calories is in this but it tasted delicious. It definitely needs cream or ice cream with it as the chocolate is very rich.

On Sunday we walked along the water front of Coal Harbour
