Grouse Grind

Although I walk a lot I wouldn’t consider myself hiker, but today we decided to finally tackle the Grouse Grind. This 2.9km trail up the face of Grouse Mountain, also known as ‘mother natures stair master’ consists of 2,830 stairs and was much more challenging than I expected. Over a hundred thousand tourists and Vancouver locals each year attempt the rugged terrain and steep climb up an approximate 56 per cent slope to reach the peak. I definitely felt the burn, and I don’t think I’ve ever sweated so much but it was all worth it to feel the satisfaction of reaching the top, plus the amazing view.
