Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery

Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery is the largest museum and gallery in Plymouth, Devon. It was built in 1910 by Thornely and Rooke in an Edwardian Baroque style, and the interior was restored in 1954 after being destroyed in The Blitz.
The Museum has collections of fine and decorative arts, natural history and human history. The museum’s natural history collection consists of over 150,000 specimens, and in the human history collection you can find prehistoric and Bronze Age artefacts as well as objects from Ancient Egypt and other ancient cultures of Europe and the Middle East.
